I think about my goals. I think about the people and animals who rely on me being well. I think about how much I want to do, see, feel, hope, hear, witness, learn, grow, create, help, and build.

Sometimes it’s easy to think I’ve got too much going on to take care of myself. But the truth is that I’ve got too much going on to *NOT* take care of myself.
So we stretch in order to bend but not break. We continue to place a demand on ourselves; we do hard things until they’re no longer hard. Then we find new hard things. We rest when we need it. We are all versions of the phoenix, rising again and again; we are all versions of ourselves, hoping that today is when we discover the better version, the kinder version, the stronger version.
If not today, then tomorrow. If not for us alone, then for those who love us.
