Today I:
Made an elephant.
Wrote a long email to a friend who is sick in bed (I tried to make it funny to help distract her from the fact that she is sick in bed).
Facetimed with family (and saw their NEW PUPPY!).
Walked in the snow.
Was subsequently entranced by the snow.
Ate sweet potatoes for lunch (I mixed baked bananas with them and it was delicious).
Taught a class.
Baked honey oatmeal bread.
Watched Matt Damon take Jimmy Kimmel hostage.
(you should, too; it’s funny stuff)
Also watched a lady practically drag a very begrudging and very tiny dog out into the snow (sorry, there’s no link for that cause it was IRL).
Surprised my boyfriend by giving him the aforementioned elephant.
Wondered about many things.
Dreamt about the things I will do; felt gratitude for the things that I already do.
Wished for the one thousand and fifty-sixth time that my fingers did not get so dry and cracked in the wintertime. BECAUSE IT HURTS LIKE A MOFO.
Kept my texting to a minimum because of it.
(I know; WHAT A SACRIFICE)
Told three different people that I love them.
And wholeheartedly looked forward to a BRUNCH DATE on Saturday.
Not bad for a Friday, I think.
Hope your weekend feels like encouragement.

I’ve never had brunch; I hope yours was “extraordinary.”
haha thank you:)
and brunch is really nice because you get to sleep late and STILL eat breakfast–you should totally try it!
I hope you had a good weekend. I’m happy to know you’re happy. You’re Elephant looks a little like a ginger root,..jus sayin
Well now, a ginger root sounds like it’s pretty cute, so I am fine with that:)
And I did have a good weekend; I hope you did, too, John!
I just remembered that that elephant reminds me of one that my mom bought my goddaughter when she was a baby. We named him Ernie and she would chew on his nose. She took him EVERYWHERE. She loved that little guy.
Haha that sounds entirely adorable:)
